A 46-year-old woman from Uttar Pradesh, who has been growing her hair since she was 14, has bagged the Guinness World Record for the world’s longest hair on a living person. Smita Srivastava ’s hair measures an astonishing 236.22 cm (7 feet 9 inches). She was inspired by her mother and credits her genes for the “healthy growth” of her long locks. “In Indian culture, goddesses traditionally had very long hair.
